DWISS is a multi-design awarded Swiss brand of authentic and unique Swiss made timepieces that is innovating how time is displayed, pioneering the use of new materials and revolutionizing sales channels. Its watches deviate from tradition by showcasing the time in formats never explored before, making each watch instantly memorable and iconic. They are all limited-edition luxury watches with the highest-grade Swiss movements and craftsmanship.
FOUNDER AND DESIGNER
Founded in 2011 by Rafael Simoes Miranda, who has been designing watches since 2006, with a portfolio of hundreds of watches designed for more than 15 different brands, winner of important international design awards, like the Red Dot Design Award, and a former watch design teacher in Milan, Italy.
PIONERISM
This young and contemporary brand has developed the first ever watch made out of Niobium (Nb1Zr – 99% Niobium 1% Zirconium), with the model CLASSIQUE, developed exclusively for the Brazilian mining company CBMM.
DWISS created the first watch design Club in a subscription based plan, where members design together a Swiss made watch by voting and giving opinions how the watch should look like.
The pioneerism that characterizes DWISS made it also one of the first watch companies to accept cryptocurrency as a payment method.
AWARDS AND FAIRS
DWISS won numerous design awards until today, its first IDA (International Design Award) in 2012, just one year after its foundation with the world’s first Niobium watch. Several ePDA (European Design Award) and more IDA along the years. The first Asian Design Award was won in 2018 (IAI design award), and the world-renowned prize: IF design award in 2021. DWISS has also participated in some of the most important watch fairs: Basel World (2014 and 2015) and Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair (2014 and 2015).
THE WORLD’S FIRST WATCH DESIGN CLUB
The M3 is the evolution of the M1 (2011) and the M2 (2016), and was created in the world’s first Watch Design Club. During the year of 2020, the Club members have designed and followed the production of the M3: a Swiss made watch using ETA 2824 with the unique displaced hours. Members have already gotten their watches and a limited edition of 500 pieces to non-members is now available for sale
