Ingredients can also be mixed and blended together and shaped into tiny granular capsules.
Tablets are made of powdered or granular ingredients pressed into shape. The relatively simple manufacturing approach enables mass production. Tablets account for over 30% of all dosage forms of pharmaceuticals in terms of production volume. This format is also commonly used in health foods, and adopted in a wide variety of categories including confectionaries, laundry detergent, chemical substances and industrial catalysts.
Granules are made of powdered pharmaceutical ingredients or foods, reconstituted into a uniform size as much as possible. Compared to powder, granules do not easily scatter, and are easy to ingest without causing choking. Sunsho Pharmaceutical can produce granules in the size optimized for individual needs. They are also renowned for adding flavour to granules for enhanced palatability.
