Haru Sato is an experienced product designer and wood master. He has more than 16 years of woodworking experience. Currently the Chief Designer of Mokuomo. People call him “Sato Shujin”, meaning Sato Master. Currently the Chief Designer in Mokuomo, Haru is capable of transforming all ordinary wood into different amazing and unprecedented masterpieces.
Kento Takahashi
Kento specialized in Japanese-styled and minimalist homeware and accessories. Although he is still very young, he already has more than 10 years of woodworking design experience as he has devoted himself into woodworking since he was 12. Kento’s design philosophy is based on practicability and simplicity. When you look closely into his collections, you will discover that Kento’s design does not contain a single piece of unnecessary details.
YK Ho
Master YK Ho has more than 20 years of woodworking experience. He was born and raised in Hong Kong, a city that people called it “Art Desert” or “Innovation Desert”. However, living in his “desert” doesn’t really scare him away from creating and innovating. Instead, he has chosen to immerse himself and dedicate his whole life to art. YK never enjoys working a typical 9-5 job. He likes to handmade things and has even built an entire sofa at his early age.
“Sometimes imperfection can also be beautiful. The nature and also, we as human are imperfect. So why we demand the handcrafted product to be perfect? And honestly, a handcrafted wood product is hard to be made perfect. Very hard. First of all, the wood material itself is never perfect.”
