The RIPANI company was founded in 1967 by Aldo Ripani, a great entrepreneur and progenitor of the family, marking over 50 years of the history of fashion and entrepreneurship in Abruzzo.
Since the 90s the company has been managed with passion and the same commitment by the second generation: Carla, Gabriella and Giorgio Ripani, who have given new impetus, bringing the RIPANI brand to be distributed and recognized all over the world. With a path of constant growth, the company already sees the third generation entering enthusiastically in the context of the family business.
The company is situated in a modern production plant of 3500 square meters, located in Tortoreto, a splendid and historic town in central Italy, overlooking the Adriatic Sea and surrounded by green hills. The panorama and geographical position are the nourishment for the imagination and the creativity that, together with passion, ingenuity and determination, distinguish the company.

RIPANI designs, produces and puts its name on made in Italy bags and accessories realized in leather and in the most exclusive fashion materials.
A RIPANI bag comes from the creativity and continuous stylistic research of their designers and is continued in the expert hands of their collaborators. An ISO 9001: 2015 certified quality process, which is constantly monitored and controlled in order to give life to the bags that are an authentic confirmation of the quality of the real Made in Italy. The production made by RIPANI is the result of the union between the artisan traditions and the modern technologies used in the company.
Made in Italy for RIPANI is a point of strength and pride and it is a management philosophy: the way of thinking and being, which always directs the company towards ethical and sustainable choices.
The first choice that has always characterized RIPANI is to use only natural material for its bags: it’s leather. The leathers chosen and selected by RIPANI are all made in Italy by certified and guaranteed suppliers, who tan with non-polluting and non-harmful substances.
The raw material is a recovery from cattle breeding aimed at human nutrition. Even the accessories used (buckles, studs, etc.) are entirely hypoallergenic and produced in a non-polluting way.

Distribution in Italy and in the world
In Italy RIPANI distributes its bags in more than 300 multibrand stores and in the exclusive monobrand store of 120 sqm, which since 2015 the company has opened in the seaside resort of San Benedetto del Tronto.
On international markets, the RIPANI brand is distributed in many countries through the collaboration of prestigious showrooms, distributors and chain stores in Europe, Russia, the United States, Japan and the Middle East. And right in the Middle East, in Dubai, there is the prestigious RIPANI monobrand store, located inside the largest shopping centre in the world “The Dubai Mall”, opened in 2008. It’s a prestigious showcase of international level and throughout the Middle East, where RIPANI is also present with a dozen shop in shops and corners in as many stores in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Muscat (Oman).
RIPANI also constantly participates in the main international trade fairs, to present its collections to the main operators in the fashion sector: Milan, Paris, Tokyo, Moscow, Almaty and Amsterdam, are just some of the cities where RIPANI regularly exhibits to consolidate existing business relationships and to establish new ones, in a perspective of constant growth on international markets.
The communication support
In support of all the company activities and relations with retail and with the sales network, RIPANI develops effective multi-channel and multi-content communication, to spread its brand, make the products known and share its values.
The photo shooting is the starting tool thanks which the whole advertising campaign comes to life: releases in fashion magazines, activities on the web and on social media, catalogues and promotional materials for the points of sale, are just some of many activities field by the company.
The company avails itself in the collaboration with the press office in Milan, which, through relations with editors, bloggers, influencers and costume designers, contributes to increasing the visibility of the RIPANI brand with releases of the main women’s magazines, social posts, influencers sharing, product placement in fiction and TV and Cinema.
The museum: the strong link within past, present and territory
In 1999, the RIPANI family created, inside its company headquarters in Tortoreto, the precious Historical Leather Goods Museum, a unique exhibition of over 100 splendid manufacts including bags, suitcases, beauty-cases and other original leather objects, from 1800 to nowadays.
A historical excursus born from the strong desire to relive, tell and make better known to everyone – and especially to the new generations – the importance of creativity, manufacturing and leather skills of the territory and all of Italy, through two centuries of history, art and culture, to be rediscovered and admired.
