Natural and Organic Beauty Products

Handmade and Sustainable
All Vanderohe products are handcrafted in London. The oils are 100% pure, organic and wild-crafted. Base oils are cold-pressed while essential oils are steam-distilled. Every detail in the production method has been considered. Hand-crafted in small batches, all of the formulas for Vanderohe’s products are completely natural. Ingredients and products are never subject to animal testing.
The brand works with trusted producers, certified by the strictest requirements of organic farming, involving frequent and consistent monitoring and inspection. This is essential in order to create the purest and most effective product, untainted by chemical additives. It also avoids the negative environmental impact of non-organic farming.
Vanderohe only uses recyclable and biodegradable products in products’ packaging, avoiding any plastic use where possible. Bottles are made from recyclable Miron glass; a unique, dark violet glass that uses the science of biophotonics to maintain and prolong the potency of the ingredients.
Additionally, Vanderohe pledges a proportion of its profits to Marine Savers: a world-leading marine conservation team working out of the Maldives on coral reef propagation, turtle rehabilitation and more. Giving back to this programme from the start has helped to reinforce the efforts the company makes on a daily basis to ensure that practices are as sustainable and eco-friendly as possible. They also offset their carbon footprint with a tree planting donation to a private nature reserve in the UK.
Vanderohe’s Story: A Healing Quest
The story of Vanderohe is a tale of trust and transparency, born out of founder Olivia Thorpe’s dedication to integrity. After graduating from Oxford University then pursuing a successful career in finance, Olivia’s path took a different turn following a move from London to Singapore.
Feeling frustrated by the lack of creativity in her current vocation, Olivia launched an online beauty publication, Vanderohe. It was also at this time that she developed severe allergic dermatitis. With her skin raw and resistant to treatment, she embarked on a healing quest inspired by the natural brands she had written about for her site.
After two years of meticulous research into the chemistry of organic plant oils, and pregnant with her second child, her hypersensitive nose led her to create an oil blend that healed her condition where all else had failed. Vanderohe No.1 Nourishing Face Serum was launched in 2017, securing six leading awards in its first year — from British Vogue to Harper’s Bazaar Singapore – laying the foundation for expanding the range in 2018 with four further award-winning products. The brand has quickly gone from strength to strength and received emphatic praise from respected influencers, celebrities and the world’s top beauty press.
Olivia now resides in London with her husband and their three young children and is committed to keeping sustainability and trust at the core of her brand.
Core Values
Vanderohe’s ethos is founded upon 3 driving forces:
- To cross skincare boundaries with universal, multi-correctional products.
- To go the extra mile for the highest quality ingredients.
- To ensure that all products are as good for the planet as they are for you.
“Vanderohe is my ode to Mother Nature and to a gentler, more mindful form of self-care; to understanding our bodily needs and responding to them in a nurturing way; to taking a step back from the internal stresses and looking up and around us. It is a creation from the very depths of my maternal, protective being and it is a return to cherishing the Earth’s very real and powerful medicine: plants.” – Olivia Thorpe
